20 Foster Kids Celebrated birthdays at our "Quarterly Birthday Party" for Foster Children March 22nd, 2008 20 foster kids with birthdays between October and December of 2007 or January - March of 2008 celebrated their birthdays with us on Saturday, March 22nd, from 1 - 4 p.m. at Rod McLeod park in Escondido. 75 foster family members attended to help sing, eat cake and ice cream, get their faces painted and get plenty of exercise with 2 jumpers and a variety of sports activities provided by our volunteers. Each birthday child received a birthday gift. If you weren't able to join us this time, be sure to put your name on our list for the next Quarterly Birthday Party, which will be held on June 28th. Email us with your foster child's name and birthdate, as well as the number attending from your family. Another fun time is planned. Don't miss out!! A very special thanks to our volunteers, Damian and Veronica, who treated us to Ice Cream and Sherbet, something we do not normally get to have with our cake, because it melts too fast, Deanna Lyons for providing the face painting, Lisa Futrell-Williams who provided the face painting supplies, Rod Bates for his photography skills, and the San Pasqual Kids who helped entertain and supervise the kids. We appreciate your help!!
